Head - Compliance
Mr. Muhammad Iqbal started his career in 2010 with PKF FRANTS & CO. Chartered Accountants as a trainee and promoted to the position of Audit Manager in a short span of time. During the tenure, he managed financial and compliance audits and was part of the team that led advisory assignments of top tier stock brokerage houses where he successfully developed and implemented compliance matrices. He is also credited with leading risk based audits of multiple service and manufacturing oriented companies where he identified financial, operational and compliance risks and developed procedures and internal controls for mitigation. Subsequently In 2015, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal was appointed as Head of Compliance and Risk Management by Vector Securities where he is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and directives (including KYC and AML regulations). He has additional responsibility of liaison with the regulators and legal advisers on all concerned matters and advising and assisting the management on the same. Mr. Muhammad Iqbal is CA finalist and holds a graduation degree from University of Karachi in B.Com.
Head – Operations & Technology
Mr. Sayeed A. Siddiqui has over 10 years of IT experience and has recently joined Vector Securities as Head of Technology. He has setup a state-of-the-art trading system on redundant links with PSX and best backup plans to avoid any disaster situations. Before joining Vector Securities, he was associated with IGI Finex Securities Limited as Assistant Vice President – IT where he implemented and managed the online trading platform. The said system is now supporting more than 10,000 clients which include online, regular and institutional clients along with 5 nationwide branches i.e. Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan & Stock Exchange Building. The IT department was centralized in IGI where he was actively engaged in many IT related projects of IGI group like DR implementation, smooth IT transition after ALICO acquisition, IGI Funds divestiture, IGI Bank’s online due diligence project and entire implementation of Eclipse Trading platform for IGI Finex Securities. At IGI, he successfully conducted many IT audits with no major audit observations. Mr. Sayeed holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a certified Oracle Professional.
Head – Equities Sales
After graduating in 2010 with an MA Finance and Investments from The University of Nottingham, Abbas Jahangir joined the research department of Faysal Asset Management where he played an integral part in the funds’ strategy as a member of the Investment Committee. His other responsibilities involved in depth analysis of the funds’ equity holdings along with identifying potential stocks for investment. In 2013 he joined Vector Group as Head of Research where he played an instrumental role in guiding HNWI’s and pension funds with their investments in different asset classes. He is currently heading the sales function of Vector Securities dealing with HNWI’s and potential corporate clients. Post BBA (Hons.) he was trained on the Treasury Desk of Silk Bank (formerly Saudi Pak Bank) where he was part of the Treasury Front Office team.
